Telegraphic Report

No. 58
Aleppo, 5 August 1915

Answer to Tel. No. 43.

It is considered here as certain that the (mentioned) Bishop of Harput [Stepan Israelian] was murdered together with several priests between Diyarbekir and Urfa. The silver sacred objects that the sister of one of the priests, a woman who was also murdered, was carrying with her fell into the hands of the gendarmes.

[Roessler]
