Elias' father was a soldier in the Turkish army and was killed.

                  Elias was deported with his mother and a younger brother.

                  One day Kourds attacked the caravan. A Kourd took Elias with him  in his tent. He was illtreated and after 3 years he fled in the night and came in another village.

                  There he stayed 8 years as a servant by an Arab.

                  He was always longing to join his nation, and one day he fled and reached Hassitshe, from where he was sent on to us.

Found his aunt and went to live with her.
