Minas's father was deported separately and the family
believed that he was dead. Later Minas came on the road with his mother. They
reached Deir-el-Zor and some time afterwards were driven into the desert to be
killed by the Tchetchens. In this way Minas' mother disappeared. He went alone
with the caravan until Ras-el-Ain. There he met his father. Later they were
deported again. In the Khabur-region, they were detained to die from
starvation. To save his child from this fate, the father gave him to an Arab.
With him Minas stayed ever since, but he did not want finally to become a
Muslim. So he made his way to Hassitshe and from there he was sent to us.
