Adrien's father was killed during the deportation in his native town. A few days later she was deported with her mother. On the road to Meskene she was dragged away and brought to an Arab's tent. She lived eleven years with her master. During that time Adrien could not get any news about her mother and relatives. Adrien wanted always to return to her own nation because she knew well, that she was an Armenian girl. Therefore she tried a few times to flee but she was hindered or caught. At length, she made a successful attempt and reached to Deir-el-Zor, where she found protection by our agent and then was sent to us.

Adrien's aunt was found in Beirut. We sent her there.
