Garabed's father died during the deportation. His stepmother gave him to a Kourd when she was deported. The Kourd employed Garabed as a shepherd for seven years.
When Armenians were permitted to go to Aleppo, he fled to Mezreh and joined a party there. Garabed came to Aleppo on January 23.
His uncles are in America.
