            Mardiros was deported with his parents. The father was killed on the road and the mother got ill and they had to leave her on the road. 2 months after the caravan reached Hamam. There an Arab took Mardiros in his tent.   

                  Mardiros was but a little boy and was happy to get bread enough. On the road he had suffered from hunger and thirst. Soon famine came in the country and the Arab sent him away. Mardiros went to another tent where he remained 3 years. He was illtreated so one day he fled and came to us.
