Araksi was deported with her mother and aunt. Her mother died on the road. The survivors came to Karadja. They lived in Turkish houses for seven years.
When her aunt heard that Armenians were allowed to go to Aleppo, she asked her master to let her go. The Turk granted her this favor. Araksi came with her aunt to Harpoot, they joined a leaving party and reached this city on January 25.
Her father is in America.
Araksi was received in the orphanage of the Near East Relief.
