Kasbar’s family, consisted of
eight persons came on the road to Malatia. At a little distance from Hekimkhan
his parents, three brothres and many other Armenians were killed by the Turks.
The remainder of the caravan were sent forward. Kasbar’s one brother fled away
(now living in Cairo), the other one fled and reached his native town, where he
still lives as a servant in a Turk house.
He, himself was taken to a
Kürdish family in Malatia, where he remained 12 years as a servant. Being
always ill-treated he resolved to escape and he did. Once he offered his help
to some muleteers who were coming to the Syrian frontier, they accepted the
proposal and took him with them. On reaching Arabpounar our agent helped him to
reach our rescue-home.
Left our care: Dec. 31,
1927. Selfsupporting.
