At the beginning of the deportations her father was killed in his native town. Before her mother was deported, she gave Nazli to a Turk in order to safe her life. Nazli lived one year there but being treated very badly she ran away and went to a Kourdish village where she lived for six years. She fled again being undecided where to go. On the road she met an Armenian boy and they decided to go to Aleppo. After travelling 15 days day and night she reached this city.
Nazli has no relatives.

Nazli's sister has been found, she is married and living here in Aleppo. Owing to slight mental disturbances, Nazli was placed temporarily in an asylum in the city.
