In the beginning of the
deportation, Kurds attacked their village. Part of the people could flee to the
mountains the rest was killed.
A Kurd took Dikran and his
mother to his house. He married his mother and Dikran had to work as a shepherd
for the Kurd. After one year his mother died and he was deported with his
master because the Russian Army was coming. When the Russian Army was leaving
the Turkish territory they could return to their town. Dikran lived 11 years
there, then fled to Bab, from where by our agent he was sent to us.
