Vahan, his parents, two sisters and
four brothers were exiled to Aintab, where his mother fell down with illness.
The rest were forced to continue the journey. On reaching Surudj Vahan's
father, of his own accord left him under the charge of an Arab and went on with
his children. Vahan remained with his master and worked eleven years for him as
a servant.
One day, his father, a shivering old
man came to us asking our assistance to rescue his son. He had located Vahan.
About the matter we informed our agent, who found a chance to arrange the boy's
escape and sent him to us. When Vahan reached us his father was waiting for him
in our office. This was the only survivor of his children.
