Her husband was killed in the beginning of the war. She
herself was deported with her four children, one girl and three boys. Afoot
they were driven for months in an unknown direction.
Near Diarbekir, Kurds attacked the caravan, robbed,
killed and dragged women and children away with them. Markrid had to see, how
her sons were taken away. She herself and her daughter were by a Kurd brought
to his house where they soon both of them were sold to Kurds, who married them.
In the last Kurdish war, Markrid's husband was killed and she exiled to Syria.
Markrid has a brother in
America. She receives money from him.
