Veronika was deported with her father and mother, the latter died in Siroudj and her father was killed on the road. Veronika became sick and could not go further. When living in a little town named Girasor an Arab took her by force to his house and in a short time she became his wife. She lived with the Arab until August 27.
One day she went with a load of wheat to the mill, not far away from the town. The miller being an Armenian helped her to flee to Aleppo.
Veronika's elder brother was a soldier in Salonik and the younger was in their native town when they were deported.
Veronika is living on sewing.
