Lousia's
husband was killed in the general massacre of the men in Tel-Ermen in the
beginning of the war. She herself, her son and daughter came on the road with
many women and children. The rude gendarms pushed the caravan forwards without
leaving them time to rest. Many fell exhausted on the road and were lying
there, till they died. Almost every day the caravan was attacked by Arabs and
Kurds, who robbed, killed and dragged many young girls and children along with
them. So also Lousia's children. One day a Kurd took possession of her, and she
was forced to stay with that man twelve years. Once our agent saw her, spoke
with her and helped her to reach our rescue-home in Aleppo.
Suffering from
peludsine, spleen much enlarged.
Recovered.
Left our care: July 20, 1928. Selfsupporting.
