Abgar belongs to those, who don’t remember anything about their earliest childhood. 

He has stayed in Noussebin (Nisibin) near Diarbekir with an Arab by name Alibasch belonging to the tribe Sjarabi. Abgar was a little shepherd, took care of the lambs. 

One day being illtreated he fled and reached Hassitshe. Our agent found him and sent him to us.
