Minas was deported with his family to a town named Khaboor. Thousands of miles away from his native town. There he was dragged away from his relatives by an Arab who took him to his tent in the desert. Minas became soon the shepherd of the Arab and lived nine years with him.
However, it happened that the tribe camped once near Khaboor. Minas was sent to the mill on business. The miller was an Armenian and recognized Minas as a compatriot. He told him about Aleppo and the Armenian orphanages and so on and persuaded Minas to flee and return to his nation. Minas returned to his tent and fled at night to the mill. The miller took him to the Armenian church and from there he was sent to us.
As far as we know he has no relatives.
