His father died before the
war. He was exiled with his mother and relatives. The caravan was forced to
wander on foot, his mother could not go further. She became ill. Mardiros was
obliged to leave his mother on the road and follow the wandering caravan.
Once an Arab dragged him to
his tent, he remained there 11 years as a servant.
In an environing village some
Armenians were dwelling, they helped him to flee. He is now in our rescue-home
in Aleppo.
Left
our care: February 10, 1926. Relatives.
