Armenag was deported with his
parents, his two brothers and one sister to Rakka. After two months rest they
were sent further on to the Mosul district. There his father was taken to the
Turkish Army, he had to work on the railroad. Since then he never had any news
from his father. In Mosul, his mother, his sister and one of his brothers died
of typhus. Armenag does not know what happened to his brother, he had gone out
and never returned. rmenag himself was looking for some work among the Arabs. A
sheikh of the tribe of Adjel took him to his tent and kept him as his slave.
Lately he was illtreated so he fled to Mossul. Our agent there met him and sent
him directly to our Reception house.
