Abraham was a little child when his father died. In the beginning of the deportation he was at school in Zeitoon and so he does not know what happened to his mother.
Later he was exiled with the Zeitoon people, coming to Abou-Kamal he was bitten by a dog of the village and so he could not continue his journey. The dog's owner, a Turk, took Abraham to his house and cared for him. After his recovery Abraham remained nine years in that village as a farmer.
During this time he found his brother among the village people. When Armenians were emigrating he left Abou-Kamal for Aleppo. He asked his brother to accompany him but his brother's master refused him.
Abraham went to Der-el-Zor and our agent sent him to Aleppo.
