Melkon’s father was taken into the Turkish army. He with his mother three brothers and one sister were exiled to Malatia, where they found a caravan waiting for arrival of other Armenian groups. After two days rest the caravan started, Melkon and his one broter were left behind. They could ot find their family and began to walk in the streets. A rich Turk took them to his house, later he sent both to his village, where they had to work 12 long years.

                  Once, seeing some muleteers passing near the village, they followed them. On the road he lost his brother and reached alone Arabpounar whence by our agent he was sent to us.
