Artin belonged to a very large family. He was deported
together with father and mother, three brothers and three sisters. Two brothers
were lost before they reached Deir-el-Zor. The rest of them lived there until
the Armistice, then they returned to Hadjin. Later they met their fate. Father
and mother were killed, the son fled, who knows to where, the sisters were
violated by the Turks. Artin knew the whereabouts of only one of them. He
himself managed to live among the Turks, but always in danger, until finally he
found his way to Syria. When he came to us, we located his brothers in Beirut.
They are now living there together.
Left our care: April 24,
1928. Living with his brother in Beirut.
