After his father had become a soldier of the Turkish army, Misak was deported with his mother and little brother to Hama. After staying six months in Hama his relatives were deported to Homs while Misak begged in the market.

            Misak could not locate his relatives and lived on begging. Soon he became ill, an Arab who saw him pittied him and took him to his house where he lived eight years as a member of the family.

            He met later some Armenians who sent him to Aleppo, hoping that he could find his relatives.

            We found his relatives and he went to live with them.
