Noobar was deported with his mother, brother and sister. On the road he became ill and could hardly reach Malatia. Arriving there his health by condition became more and more difficult and he could not go any further. He was brought to a hospital while his family was sent further on. A Kourd from Izoli took him to his village and Noobar became his servant, living seven years with him.

Some Armenians who were passing Izoli recognized him as a boy of their nation. They advised him to flee at the first chance to Aleppo, telling him that he would be admitted in an orphanage or some foreign administration. Noobar knew some muleteers who were going regularly to Aleppo, he proposed to them that he would work for them if they wanted to take him with them. Each other agreed with the condition made on both sides and Noobar could deliver himself in this way from the Moslems.
