Souren was exiled with his parents and a sister. They reached Urfa, where his father was killed. His mother and sister disappeared. Sourend was with the caravan driven further on. Near Urfa he was dragged away by an Arab. Till now he stayed by that man who always had treated him well. 

               In the same village there was an Armenian girl No. 1877, Zarouhi who had been taken by a Kurd. Their masters allowed them to marry. Newly they were shut to Syria.
