Mariam's father died before
the war. She was deported together with her mother and her three brothers to
Ras-el-Ain. On the road an Arab took Mariam by force from her relatives and
married her. As she was always illtreated and outraged she was looking for a
chance to flee. Lately she was informed that there was a Reception-House open
for her in Aleppo if only she desired to come back to her church and her
nation. She fled and came to Hassitshe. Our agent from there sent her
immediately by motor car to us.
Left
