The whole family was deported with all Hajin Armenians. On the road to Rakka one of his brothers became ill and died.

                   Levon and his brother fled together from Rakka and went to a village named Room-Kale. On their way Arabs attacked them. They were robbed and his elder brother killed.

                   Levon went as servant to a Kourdish family after two years he went as farmer to another village and remained seven years there. An Armenian from Aleppo passed in that village and saw Levon. He told him about the Armenians in Aleppo and about the orphanages here. Levon desired to return to his people hoping to find his relatives. He fled at night passed the Turkish frontier and came to this city.

                   Having no relatives located he came to us on October 14^th.
