In the beginning of the deportation
Boghos was exiled with his parents and relatives to Surudj. On reaching there,
the caravan encamped for the night at a little distance from the town. There
the Kurds were awaiting them. They robbed and killed most of the people. Boghos
was separated from the caravan and was brought to a Kurdish village near
Biredjik where he lived eleven years with his master. He was eager to be
restored to his own nation, therefore he escaped twice but was recaptured and
was punished severely. The third time he took advantage of the absence of his
master and reached Arabpounar asking the help of our agent. He reached us
safely.
