Sara was married before the
deportation. During the exile her husband was taken in to the Turkish army but
he never returned again. Her parents died before the general war. She came on
the road with her sister and relatives.
On the road, in Urfa a Kurd took her
to his house and married her by force, while her sister went further on with
the caravan. She remained two years with her possessor. During that time she
succeeded to inform one of the Turkish friends of her first husband who
arranged Sara's return back to her native country. There a rich Turk had
protected an Armenian young man. After a time Sara was married to that young
man and in the process of time she had gained three children from him.
During the last Kurdish rebellion
her husband was obliged to leave his family and flee away. (If he is still
alive, is supposed to be in Syria). Sara being informed about our rescue-home,
came into connection with Arab pounar agent, and by paying some money to a
muleteer she reached there, from where our agent sent her with her three
children to us.
We
are looking for her husband now.
We
found Sara's husband in Aleppo, and she herself and her three children went to
live with him.
Left
our care: November 12, 1926. Relatives. Husband in Aleppo.
