Krikor was exiled with his parents and
five brothers to Deir-el-Zor. Near Rakka the caravan was resting on the bank of
the river, when the massacre began and most of the people were either killed or
drowned in the water. His mother threw herself into the reiver and was drowned.
Krikor was taken by a Shammar Arab to his tent, where he lived eleven years as
a shepherd.
He fled twice but was caught and
punished so cruelly that he fell ill. After his recovery again he found an
opportunity and fled to Souvar where he met with our agent who sent him to us.
