In
the beginning of the deportation Hagop was exiled with his father, brother and
stepmother to Hassitshe. There the men were separated and killed. The caravan
was sent on to Shudede. There the Arabs attacked the poor people began to rob,
violate and kill the unprotected women.
An Arab took Hagop and his
brother far away and left them in the field. They waited there till the next
day, then two Arab woman passed and saw the children.
One of them brought Hagop till
her house and the little brother remained alone. 3 years after Hagop saw his
brother in Djuboor since that they have had no communication with each other.
Hagop remained in Shemmars 10
years as a slave. Then he got an opportunity and fled to our station in
Hassitshe and from there our automobil-driver brought him to our rescue-home in
Aleppo.
