Abraham was deported with his mother to Ghuterbull. His mother died there. His father was a soldier in the Turkish army at this time.
His elder brother was living in a Turkish house, he himself was kept in the American orphanage in Mardin. After three years he went to live with his brother. The latter made some arrangements with an Armenian who was leaving for Aleppo and both fled at night and came with the Armenian merchant to Aleppo.
His elder brother is supposed to be in Constantinople.
