During the deportation Filor's husband was a soldier in Constantinople. She was exiled with her father, brother and daughter until Nisebin, when her father was killed.

Filor was taken by a Kourd to a village and her brother and daughter too. One day her brother was beaten very badly by the Kourd and he became ill and died within a short time. The Kourd wanted to marry Filor, but she [did] not and she fled to another place. Again her second master wanted to marry her, Filor wanted to flee but the Kourd did not gave her, Yeghsabeth, her daughter, Filor was sold to another Kourd for 500 piasters. She was supposed to be a servant of her new master, but in fact she became his wife. After searching for six years she succeeded in finding her daughter. She fled with her to Mardin. There she was supported by an American Missionary for several days who helped her on her way to Aleppo.

After  a walk of twenty days crossing the endless desert of Mesopotamia she came to Aleppo and was received in our reception house. Her daughter is with her.

            Filor's husband is in Constantinople.

Filor found a place as a servant and became selfsuppporting.
