Her
father disappeared in the beginning of the war. She was deported with an uncle
and their country people, while her mother and two brothers were taken by Turks
in Pontrin. When the caravan reached Malatia, Bayzar also was taken by a Turk
and brought to his house. After a year he sold her to a gypsy who married her. Bayzar
had to travel with his tribe from place to place, earning their living by
playing and dancing for people. Newly when the tribe was near Bab, our agent
there succeeded in rescuing Bayzar and sending her on to our home in Aleppo.
How happy she is now that she is resting in a safe place.
Left our care: June 26, 1927. Relatives, father in
Ras-el-Ain.
