Dikran's father was killed by the Turks. He himself was deported with his mother and younger brother. On the road the caravan was attacked by Kourds and Arabs and was robbed. Many of the people were killed.
Dikran's mother gave him to a Kourd in order to save him from a cruel death.
After two months a Syrian sheep merchant went to the villages near Mardin. He also went to that village where Dikran was, saw him, and bought him and took him to his house in Hassitshe, where he remained 8 years. Afterwards he was sent to our house in Aleppo.
