Arshavir came on the road with his parents, his three
brothers, and a sister. The caravan went in the direction of Mardin. The mother
died on the road. She could not resist the fatigue and the hunger any longer.
The children were not allowed to stay with her, they were dragged and driven
away. Some days after, his father and his two elder brothers were separated
from the family and killed. Arshavir, his sister, and a little brother then
were driven forward and one day the caravan reached Mardin. There different
Turks lay hold of them, and the little ones became slaves of their owners. Two
years ago the little brother, Krikor, fled to us. Arshavir, who hoped, that he
might be able to rescue his sister, still remained. Yet, after two years of
waiting, seeing that it was hopeless, he addressed to our agent in Mardin, who
sent him to us.
Is the brother of No. 548.
Left our care: December 31,
1927. Selfsupporting.
