Zarouhi's husband was killed during the deportation. She was taken with her child to a Turkish house and married with a Turk.
Zarouhi tried to flee but the Turk followed her and wounded her on the road. He brought her back and sent her to a hospital. She had not recovered when two young Armenians sent her by carriage to Aleppo.
She was admitted in our Reception house December 12, 1922 and her child too.
Her mother's brothers are in America.
Saruhi came into connection with her relatives and is now supported by them.
