Her husband was killed in the beginning of the deportation. Altoon was exiled. After a march of three hours a Turk from Paloo reached the caravan of deportation and took her back to Paloo. A few days afterwards he married her and so Altoon lived seven years with the Turk.
A known girl was also married with a Turk in her neighbourhood. This girl had a brother in America and he sent her money from time to time. This girl promised Altoon to help her to escape.
Altoon fled with her companion by night and reached safely Aleppo. Being too poor to support herself we took her in.
Learned embroidery. In the meantime relatives were found here in Aleppo, she is now living with them but supporting herself.
