Haig named Ahmed by his Turkish master was a small child
when his parents were deported. His mother had given him to a Turk in their
native town a few years ago. Haig was given to another Turk as a present. When
No. 1450 was attacked by the Turks he came to help him. He was also arrested by
the Turkish government. On his way to Diarbekir, he fled when the conveying
gendarms were sleeping. Together with No. 1450 he came to Syria and to our
reception-house.
