Hripsime's father was a soldier in the Turkish army and is supposed to be dead. She was deported with her mother and one brother. As they reached Bab, a Circassian took her to his house where she remained eleven years as a maid servant. She was always very much ill-treated. One day the Circassian had gone on business to Aleppo profiting by the absence of her master, she fled from there with the help of an Armenian woman who was there in search of her long-lost sister. The woman brought her straight to our reception-house. Hripsime's brother is supposed to be in Constantinople. 

She has a brother in Greece, who is trying to bring her over to him.

In the meantime she has been received in "The Friends of Armenia Hostel" on April 20, 1928.
