The
other day a girl came here. I recognized her immediately. She stayed many years
in one of the German orphanages in Mezreh.
In the beginning of the war it
was necessary for want of money to send many of our children to their relatives
in the villages. The order of deportation came so quickly, that it was
impossible for us to get our girls back. Most of those were deported. So
Serpouhi also went with her aunt.
She came near Deir-el-Zor,
where an Arab brought her to his tent. She lived there as a slave for many
years. One day she fled to our agent, who brought her to us.
Left
our care: July 2, 1925. Relatives.
