Berdjuhi was deported with her
mother and a brother.
When the caravan reached
Mardin, Berdjuhi and her mother hid themselves. The mother died some months
after and a Turk took Berdjuhi in his house. As she grew up the Turk wanted
marrying her to another Turk.
She then fled and reached Ras-el-Ain, from
where our agent sent her further on to us.
