Deported until the region about Mardin where the caravan in which he and his relatives were found was killed by the Kurds.
He himself became several wounds and lay as dead among the deads for two days. Afterwards he scrambled to his feet and succeeded in finding a Kurd who took him to his home. With him he stayed there for 7 years until this spring. He made his way to Aleppo walking all the time in company with some Armenians from Harpoot.
His mother's name was Warteni and her brother Bogos Bornigian is supposed to live in America.
Avedis was taken severly ill upon which we took him in our reception house.
We helped him in the beginning and we found a place for him in a Garage.
Avedis is working with an Automobilist and is learning this trade.
After a few months Avedis became a learned Chauffeur and is selfsupporting.
Left our care: December 31, 1922. Selfsupporting, trade.
