Siranoush has told us, that
she was deported from Erzeroum with her husband, parents, 2 brothers and 2
sisters. The mother got ill and died. The father and brothers with all men in
the caravan were killed. A Turk dragged her elder sister away, and she does not
know what became of her. The little sister the gendarms threw in the river
‘Carason’.
Siranoush was alone among many
other women. They were driven forward and reached Kharpoot. After some days
they again were driven to Dierbekir and Mardin. There a Kurd brought her to his
house. After one year he sold her to another Kurd. She was illtreated and
several time she tried to flee but was cought and brought back again.
Newly our agent succeeded in
getting her free, so one day she arrived in our home.
