Ustian was deported with her
(husband and her) little boy Kevork.
Her
husband was a soldier in the Turkish army.
The
caravan reached Mardin and stayed some weeks. As the people were sent further
on, Ustian hid herself and remained in Mardin by a Turkish family 10 years.
Later she was married to a Kourd.
One day she fled and reached
Ras-el-Ain. There our agent found her and sent her on to our rescue-home in
Aleppo.
When
Ustian arrived here she had her little boy Kevork with her. Some days after the
father, a Kourd, came and claimed the child. We gave it to him.
