While his father was serving in the Turkish army, Bedros was deported with his mother and sister to Rakka. After a very tirefull journey they reached Rakka and lived there two years.
An Arab of a nomadic tribe came and took him by force from his mother. Bedros lived one year with the Arab and run away after words being ill-treated. He could not return to Rakka so he went to another tribe and lived six years among them as a shepherd.
As he grew up, he remembered his being an Armenian and he desired to return to his nation and to learn a trade. Once going to Der-el-Zor he met some Armenians there who told him about our Rescue-home. He was quickly decided to come to Aleppo.
Bedros was sent to us by the Armenian church.
