Kenarig's father was killed at the time of the deportations and her mother was forced to marry a Turk, so that three little orphan girls, Kenargi and her sisters were sent away with their grandmother. This old woman of course in no way was able to protect them, very soon they disappeared. Kenarig was carried away by a Turk, and as he illtreated her badly, she fled to an Arab. With him she was a little better off, though of course she had to marry him.

            Finally an Armenian chauffeur found her and brought her with her two little children to our home.
