Two years before the war the family was established in Veranshehir and from there they were deported.

                  On reaching Ras-el-Ain, his father and two brothers were separated from the caravan and killed. The following day the Kürds again attacked the caravan and they cut the throat of his mother before his eyes. He, himself was taken by a Kürd and was brought to Urfa, where he lived as a servant until our agent succeeded in receiving him.

                  Avedis told us that his one sister is still living in Urfa, married to a Turk, and the other in Veranshehir, married to a Kürd.

Avedis went to his uncle in Arab-Pounar.
