Feride’s
father was killed in the general massacre of the men in the beginning of the
war. Feride's mother who was a beauty was taken by Kurd in Chamlek and forced
to marry him. Feride was with her. After four years the mother became ill and
died. Poor Feride who was but twelve years was married to a Turk, a very bad
man, who illtreated her. She once fled but was brought back and punished very
hard. Newly her husband was put in prison she then succeeded in fleeing to our
rescue-home.
Very sick for a long time from a miscarrying.
