The family originally is from Aintab, but had already
before the war emigrated to Marash. Zabel was deported together with her
parents, but two hours from the city an Arab came and brought her forcefully to
his house. Some years later he married her. She was told that her close relatives
were all killed.
Lately Zabel became ill. She had been infected by
Syphilis and other things. The man then sent her away and she came to us.
We
had to place her in municipal hospital.
We found her mother in Aleppo. She is
now living with her.
Left our care: February 27,
1929.
