Khanum was deported with her parents
to Veranshehir, where a Kurd dragged her away from her parents and urged her to
live with him. Afterwards he sold her to another man, with whom she lived nine
years till she had time to flee away to Mardin. There an Armenian Catholic
priest had her for some days in his house until he was able to send her to our
rescue-house in Aleppo.
We have sent Khanem to her brother in Mosoul.
Left
our care: August 1, 1926. Relatives, brother on Mosul.
